Pet Laser Therapy

This non-invasive treatment uses infrared light energy and nothing more to soothe aches and pains and restore your pet’s mobility and quality of life. Additionally, the effects of laser therapy are cumulative, which means that your pet will need fewer and less frequent treatments as the therapy progresses. Our therapeutic laser allows us to address many different physical conditions in dogs cats of virtually all ages and sizes.

No sedation is necessary for pets undergoing laser therapy, and the treatment is also drug-free. We use a hand-held device that emits low-level infrared light over the affected area. The light particles safely penetrate through the skin and deeper muscle tissue, where they stimulate cell activity and accelerate the healing process. The procedure is completely painless and only takes 5-20 minutes, depending on the condition being treated.

We can use laser therapy for dogs and cats to treat many different conditions, including:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Soft-tissue injuries such as cuts, burns, scrapes, and bite wounds
  • Ear infections
  • Lick granulomas
  • Inflammation and swelling
  • Surgical sites (for post-op care)
  • Back pain

One of the few conditions we cannot treat with laser therapy is cancer, which can actually be made worse if such a treatment is attempted.
